Musty smell coming from your towels? Towels tend to lock in moisture and harbour odors, causing an unpleasant smell that can even transfer to your hands, face and body after using. But don’t fear, we’ve got the solution.

1. Wash towels every three to four days in warm water with vinegar and a laundry detergent, like Perk Multiaction Powdered Laundry Detergent. Add 1/2 cup of Ger-Sol to every gallon of water to sanitize towels while washing.

2. Use fabric softeners less frequently with towels, as they tend to reduce the absorbency of towels over time.

3. If using a dryer, be sure to give your wet towels a little shake before placing in the machine to dry. This will aid in absorbency, by fluffing out the terry loops.

4. Ensure all towels are completely dry before folding and storing to avoid any moisture which can cause a bad odor.
